Hey snap! Although interestingly mine has a Bill Shelley's label - I believe later.

Black 70s Ossie Clark...
I've not forgotten, I'm sorry! I've got my stuff listed and just need to upload the images to photobucket.. will do so when I get back from stocking my antiques unit this afternoon :)
I would guess nurse from a glance, but need to have a check around. I have a suitcase full of old nursing uniforms etc. from WWI onwards that I have never got round to selling as I never quite finished my research - but that is what I would expect it to be. I have a tin full of button cufflinks...
Melody, it's exactly what I would say if it weren't ribbed - and reversed!
Yes Claire, it's very nicely constructed and finished with mainly handstitching, pinked edges etc. I was very disappointed to not find a label in it, lol!
Sorry, my rubbish photo. Definitely ribbed, the shiny you can see is the underside.
I hate black, as does my camera :(
I shall try again with a lightened pic, hang on!
I know this is a faille as a general descriptive word, but anything else I should be adding to that? The photo is of the reverse too (satiny feel)
Thank you - I am really not able to think today!!
I am pricing as we speak...
:D
It would be so nice to see friendly people coming as it's the first one and they are holding it in the Engine Shed which is a very cool new conversion of the old, well, engine sheds ( :BAGUSE: ) as it's next to the railway line and much of the university is...
Toni Lynn (almost space age but as gold not silver thought I'd go for details!) metallic gold shift with chiffon cape and rhinestone details

I don't think it's true barkcloth as it isn't thick enough but I know it gets used as descriptive term now.. This link on fabrics.net is a good read (scroll down!)

Again, could go in various categories but I reckon it's pretty bombshell...
1960s gold full length bombshell knitted dress - Bill Shelly's 'Chez Royale' Hong Kong

This could be either detail or prints, but I've gone for detail because of the buttons and peplum.

Good for you! At least you're going the right way about it, and you will learn as you go.
There was a discussion about websites etc. a little while ago - here's the link

Maybe there's something useful in there for you!
I like it! American mod and British mod do differ, you're right Sara. So I am not qualified to answer this one, lol, but I think dollybird would be the thing.
Senti did a fantastic workshop on 'Trends of the mid 60s' the other year which you've maybe already seen Deborah but it's fun to read...
I totally had a Friday feeling yesterday.. even agreed to buying beer in the supermarket then realised when I got home that it was only midweek :BAGUSE: I think it's the sunshine over here that's confusing me..
Fantastic find! I don't think I know the label but it's a gorgeous suit. Love the pleated section in the peplum at the rear.
I am going to go to a mid week carboot myself next week now, lol - you've inspired me!
