I've not seen the long ones - I usually use the paper backed sellophane bags purely because I happened to find some cheap ones, but this seller in the uk has various sellophane related packaging things in smaller quantities. Don't know if any of those could work...
Early 70s (c.1972?) Wetherall of Bond St. plaid suit (I would have kept this but it didn't fit :( )

Trevira, that sounds fantastic - let me know when you're done!:)
Nicole, maybe we should have an Australian thread for you to add to? And you have now just officially made me want to get up to Glasgow!
I had THE best Pringle cardigan that I inherited from my mum, plain black superfine knit - it was almost opaque - lambswool with long sleeves + ribbed cuffs (meant to be folded back, v neckline and totally plain. I am now trying in vain to replace it as the washing machine ate it :(
Doesn't...
Finally managed an update.. the summer holidays are killing me! I have childcare next week though for 4 days, so more to come then too!
Sarong dress you've already seen:
Carlye summer weight two piece:
Backless 70s halterneck maxi dress that didn't fit me :( :
And more! :hiya...
I think if you used a cold water dye it might be worth a careful go. I think I got a bit adventurous and could work - it's so long ago now I can't even remember what I did!
It's a hard one to part with. I think it's my size but I keep putting off the measureing bit, lol! So do you think it's from the hotel boutique? Sounds like there is only this main one in the town.
I bought a really very cool hawaiian dress recently with this label:
Now I would think it came from this hotels boutique shop. Do you think that's right? Looks very nice.. Anyone been? :D
I just thought that would be more likely than a local store at the time...
The liberty coat is a fab find! I think Koupy models are fairly good quality - listed under the Fashion Designers (London - as opposed to 'provincial' lol) section in the 1966 'Fabric and Clothing Trades Index' alongside more familiar names.
Ooh, I just checked out the fall stuff and I would be in shopping heaven. Thank goodness (in a way) they aren't selling online or my mastercard would take a battering.. What a great store that would be to visit!
Lizzie, just so you know I didn't forget.. ended up being 3 weeks unable to get up there! Anyway I was up there today and found them, they are darn cool but sadly not flat - they have about a small heel.
Will keep an eye out though, as I will be going to see what the other dealers have in on...
yay - finally i have one! fab tuxedo-esque red jean varon dress that i only just didn't keep
