I loved my PS Elements 2.0 It had everything I need. I know have a fancy new Mac Book with Leopard and 2.0 just isn't going to work. So I am shopping for PS also. It's a great program. Sooo much better than iphoto.

Thanks for the suggestions. My house is older too Lei. The closet in the master bedroom is smaller than the guest bedroom. Go figure. Maybe it was intended for two children? I have no idea.
But I am going to have to do the unthinkable and be unselfish and give my husband some closet...
Hi everyone.
I got an idea to use the vacuum sealed storage bags, but after just a tiny bit of research, it sounds like it's not such a goo idea.
Some of my inventory is inside my home, in the spare bedroom closet. But my poor husband is getting the short end of the stick because he...
Just wanted to let you all know that the coat has been shipped to Leslie Hindman Auctions is being prepped for the Sept. 27 auction!!!
I'll let you all know how it goes.
Thanks to everyone for all your help and guidance.
Sandra
There is a great site called She Unlimited that is doing really cool podcasts interviewing people with web businesses, blogs and other neat projects. They interviewed me!
Check it out at www.debutanteclothing.com/news
Ok, I have updates!
Whitaker said they only take lots of 30+ items. I thought that was odd.
Leslie Hindman is interested in it. but I've heard mixed reviews about their auctions. Anyone care to elaborate?
Do I dare sell it in my store? I just don't think I can attract the type of...
I have no idea.
Clair did give me an estimate, which was much lower than the price it fetched at Doyle because of the missing belt. That made me sad. Stupid belt!
Plus I would pay 15% commission, 1% insurance and photography fees, all in Sterling Pounds. Sounds expensive.
I might have...
Update-I got in touch with the former Director of Textiles at Doyle NY. They no longer do auctions so she is now a consultant for them.
Here's what she had to say about "Denise"
Dear Sandra
Ah yes, I recall this one! Denise was one of his fit models which means it was a runway model...
Ok, I've been in contact with Deborah at antiquedress.com
She took a guess that Denise could be the name of the style, as we both have brown ones and we have no idea what the green one at FIT says, and 420 could be color number. Who knows.
So once again Deborah, you could be correct...
Deborah,
I think you are right, they are identical tags. I just magnified them to the same size and they are identical.
I'm thinking quality control lady is Denise 420!
Now, why didn't anyone tell me I was being a dumb dumb and misspelled Norell ?!:BAGUSE:
Sandra
I was thinking more of a store buyer, not a customer buyer, but why would the buyer. But that doesn't make much sense does it.
I'm thinking your right Deborah.
But weren't printed tags sewn into the seam already being used in the 70s? Maybe 1970 was too early for that. Or this is such a...
Hi Deborah.
Yeah, my husband and I figured that out. I would never think that it was the same image except that it has the exact handwritten label. I don't think it was printed. I didn't think they looked like copies. But I can't be 100% sure.
I was thinking maybe Denis is the buyer...
Thanks Hollis! You are such an awesome detective!
I went back to look for the belt and it was no where to be found. I even asked the manager and he said no. I might go back tomorrow and check in unusual places. Well I guess that will bring down the price.
Jody, thanks for your comment...
Lizzie,
please feel free to use it.
I was very surprised to find it at a thrift too Dorthea's Closet (I know I knew your name at one point, sorry.) but believe me, it was Waaay more than I ever spend at a thrift. They knew they had something special.
Just an update, I contacted...
Going to the thrift to find the belt, but are you guys sure there was a belt? There are no belt loops and no indication that there were belt loops. But maybe belt loops weren't common on high end designs? Although I have seen them on dresses. Hmmm.
Sandra
Brenda-the color is a dark chocolate brown.
So you think I should wait until Fall and sell it myself? I have no idea how to price it. I did just a google search and found no Norrell coats. I want to make sure it sells for what it's worth because it is such a good piece.
I don't believe it was an I Magnin made piece because I was able to find the cover of the 1970 issue of Vogue and the fashion editorial features a number of other Norrells. I don't think they would feature an I Magnin made piece. But maybe I'm wrong...
Oh my gosh! yay! Thank you Hollis!!! You rock.
I knew it. I'm so glad I got it. I even haggled at the thrift store. LOL.
Now what? I don't dare sell it myself. How much do you think it's worth.
Hi Everyone.
On a completely different mission, I found a Norman Norrell for I Magnin coat: brown velvet, verry shirt and matte, with blonde mink (I think) collar and bottom panel. I paid quite a bit for it. But something compelled me to buy it. Given the labels, is this a true couture...
