I agree with Mary Jane on the dates of all three hats. Hats by Sylvia are often very interesting styles....I have had a few of them and they are always really sweet hats! I had one very large hat with that label that I called my Pinwheel hat....it was a very unique hat. Mr. John hats are...
Cute top hat pin! The cut crystal is nice, too, but I don't think it's Edwardian...possibly 1940's. I've had many of these and some are even strung on fine metal chain. They have maintained their popularity. In the 1950's and '60's it became popular to do these crystal pieces with AB coating...
Holly, I googled Palais Royal and it appears to be a department store....listed one in Houston, TX. The fact that it says it's made in Hungary makes me think it's not really vintage....possibly 1980's- 1990's. I had never heard of this department store....none in my neck of the woods. Nice...
These look like beautiful items and appear to be in wonderful condition. You have been blessed with this find, for sure! I'm partial to that Red and Black dress, myself!
Lorraine, I always say that things to come certain people for a reason...we don't find them, they find us! It's wonderful when these treasures can be preserved by people who love and appreciate the importance of them. It is an honor and and most of the time a great pleasure. Although, it is...
These are the kinds of things that really make this vintage fashion thing so worthwhile....I just love the fact that just by trying to explore the origins of this little purse, you have uncovered a treasure in this lovely lady! Nothing in this world ever just happens by chance....it's all part...
Your coat is lovely. So many of these coats from the 1960's just have the "100 % Cashmere" label, but a few have a maker's label sewn in the front side of the coat.....I take it that there was no other identifying label on your coat? If not, it's hard to say.
I think you are exactly right, Carrie, and do you think it might have been one of those little pins that might have been a set or pair? So many of the little scatter pins were sets of two and many were whimsical in nature. This one is really cute!
I suspected that it was wool from your photos....and, finding it where you did, it's a miracle the moths didn't do a number on it! It's a great little bag. I really like Lilly Dache....I have a lovely hat with the older label that is in my personal collection.
I agree with Jonathan...I think this is an older label. What material is the purse made from? The black looks to be wool, but couldn't tell for sure. It's absolutely wonderful and congrats to you for finding such a little treasure....and, of all places, in a barn!

Sandy, I have a blouse that I purchased in the 1990's from the QVC outlet store that used to be in Norfolk, Virginia and it looks very similar and the tag is the same. Mine had shoulder pads that were not huge, but I took them out because I thought it looked better without them. I still have...
