That is so pretty. I was just looking threw vintage Vogue magazines and page after page is filled with loungewear that is so beautiful they can be worn as gowns. Not like the sweatpants and track suits of today.<P>My favorite lounging wear is this vintage barbizon...<P><img...
It came from an estate of a wild woman! :) I found out later she was a burlesque dancer in the 30's. She traveled all over the world and purchased clothing wherever she went.
This is the same estate that I purchased the fortuny gown from.

IMO Odette Barsa robes are the prettiest. They always are made very well with lots and lots of lace, satin and all kinds of embellishments. I love them. Good luck with yours~

I have two of these funky, light weight gab jackets. They are late 40's early 50's mens jackets with shoulder pads, long front flange pleats and a very boxy cut.
Are these Ricky jackets? Or is there another proper name for them? Thanks!! Also, any suggestions for some great keywords to get...
Oooooh atomic pink! *drool* The atomic teal and orange sounds yummy too. Lucky dog!! Thank you for all the info on this. I can't wait to see the web page that you are doing. How fun! It must have been very popular at the time. I personally love it! I really love the 50's atomic...
I didn't even realize I'm not linked up!
I will try and figure that out now :) This skirt is scheduled to go on tonight. I wish it fit. :censored2: That's ok though, I know they made this print with a pink background. Hopefully I can someday find that one!

*YaY* I found one! Boo, it\'s not my size! Arabian Nights...
I have been dreaming of this since it was last posted by another seller awhile back and almost had a heart attack when I found it last week BUT it's not my size!

Hi Lizzie, Unfortunately no hangtag :( All it had was a paper tag pinned to the front that was plain. No "Swirl" logo. I don't think I have ever seen a Swirl hangtag as of yet.
Can't wait to see your Swirl feature. How exciting!
I love Swirl's! I have one up for auction now matter-of-fact :)
Lin, let me know about this thread. I am glad there are others out there that appreciate Swirl dresses.
Here's the one I have up now, It's a plus size, dead stock too.<P><img...
I love that floral, 40's playsuit. Perfect for summer!<P>
I held on to this for a long, long time but I did decide to sell it last week. I love this because it was hand made with a lot of care and skill. <P><img src=http://members.sparedollar.com/pinky-a-gogo/jacket.jpg><P><img...
