Pink has swept through vintage fashion with both softness and strength - powdery and polite one decade, bold and rebellious the next. From the pretty pastels of post-war elegance to the bubblegum shades of the swinging sixties, pink has shifted with the times, adapting its tone without losing...

DeLong Sportswear (I just looked it up) was a family business in Grinnell, Iowa. (https://www.radioiowa.com/2009/04/22/delong-sportswear-in-grinnell-shutting-down-after-150-years/). I'm afraid I don't know the age. The WPL number isn't super helpful, because even though WPL numbers...

“Do you ever wear a skirt, by the way?” the intrepid young reporter Barbara Walters asked Katharine Hepburn in a 1981 interview. “I have one. I’ll wear it to your funeral,” came the quip back.
Yes, Hepburn wore trousers, and not just because they looked great on her and she felt comfortable in...
You should be able to soak the skirt with cool water and Synthrapol. It is designed to bind to loose dyes and remove them from the fabric. It works best in warm water, but I would use cool and let it soak longer. Good luck!
I agree with @plousia that this looks like a nightgown from the 30s or 40s. My first guess would be acetate or rayon. (Here is how to do a burn test if you don't have experience with that: https://vintagefashionguild.org/resources/fabric/determining-fiber/)

Sequins have long stitched their shimmer into the fabric of fashion history—tiny discs with a big story to tell. In ancient times, shiny metal circles adorned garments as a symbol of status and wealth. By the 20th century they...

Floral patterns have been a staple in fashion for centuries, but it was in the mid-20th century that they truly flourished. Post-World War II, the 1950s saw florals become bolder, reflecting the optimism of the time. By the 1960s, they exploded with the Flower Power movement, where oversized...
I haven't seen a bag quite like this. What are the little tiles made of? Are they literally tile?
You can use a vacuum cleaner to clean the interior of the bags, and to remove dust from the exterior of the bag.
Suede can be brushed with a suede brush or rough towel. Suede is not as sturdy as...
Great find! I found these advertisements from 1933.
One of our members runs the Vintage Purse Museum website, and she writes about bag designers, including Nat Lewis. https://vintagepursegallery.blogspot.com/2024/07/special-post-nat-lewis-purses-inc-and.html
I have seen this type called a halo shank covered button. I couldn't quite tell if you are looking for a source of the covered buttons themselves or the form on which to create buttons. I see https://harlequin-uk.com/product-category/covered-buttons/
It looks like they cover buttons with your...

Some pointers:
Don't use wire hangers (I imagine you don't with the weight of these coats!). Keep the coats clean via dry cleaning. Dry cleaning kills pests and removes stains that attract them. Keeping the coats clean is your first line of defense.
For winter: Use is a perfect deterrent for...
That is a really unusual name, which appears to have an alternate spelling, Balfe. Even with that info, I could find nothing about your label. If Nicole @Circa Vintage Clothing is around, she may have some knowledge of this.
Donna makes a good point re/ whether moths and other critters are likely where you live. Do you get freezing temperatures? Have you dealt with any insect damage? Do you wear the coats in winter? I have suggestions based on your answers. :)
