Wow, Chris. My brain went numb just thinking about all that studying you just had to do! When do you take the state test?
My sister took the real estate test in Az. and she said it's pretty intense.
Hope you end up getting some needed relaxation in during the holidays.

Hi Leisa
Sorry you're discouraged and want to give up selling vintage clothing. It is tough to depend on it as your only source of income.
But I agree with Linda. Once you find a steady job, you may want to sell for extra income and will regret that you got rid of everything. You could...
Oh yeah, I should have been more specific. Those measurements are for the inside of a shoe with a slingback. A closed shoe would have to be almost 10" toe to heel for them to fit me. It's a casual wedding, so I don't need anything really dressy.

Getting married next week and today when I tried on the shoes with the dress I am wearing, the strap broke. Shoe repair place said no can fix. Hoping someone has a similar pair to sell. Been googling all day to no avail. I'm sure if I wasn't in need, there'd be tons of navy blue shoes...
Finding good vintage stuff is a constant challenge even down here in Fla. where there are tons of retirees. You'd think we'd be swimming in great vintage clothing. But near the cities there is a lot of competition for it.
Really like the flyers and contacting real estate companies is a great...
Heck, there aren't many places I can wear this in Florida! Guess if it is ocelot I'm stuck with it. Don't think I can sell a coat from an endangered species anywhere on the internet.

The markings do go all the way down to the skin. I didn't realize that was how you could tell if it was stencilled or not. Ok, so I guess it's not dyed rabbit after all! Thanks for that tip.
It does have the look of ocelot, but all the brown markings were throwing me off. I always thought...
Hi
Anyone know what kind of fur this is? Person who sold this coat to me thought it was stencilled rabbit, but wasn't positive. Fur is short and very, very soft. Is there such a thing as sheared rabbit? All the markings are shades of brown.
Thanks

Hi Harriet
I have dyed beaded wool/angora sweaters before and had no problem. You just have to make sure to move the sweater around in the hot water very gently. Also, when rinsing, you have to fill up the sink with cool water and gently squeeze the excess dye out of the sweater. Sometimes it...
Hi Marie
That Paganne is beautiful. I totally agree that it probably will get last minute bidders. Hope you're pleasantly surprised!

Hi Leisa
Have you ever checked out this website?
Clipart.com
They have over 6 million downloadable images. You can pay them 16.95 for a week's use of the site and download an unlimited amount of images during that time. My sister, who is a graphic artist, turned me on to them.
You...
Remember a lot of those things, though I was way past being a child of the 80s. More like borderline mid life in the 80s!
Found this website that has lots of fun facts about that era
Only the 80s
Theresa
Trenchcoat it is, then! That's great as I think that may be a popular search term. Also, Linda, appreciate you indentifying the eras for me.
Thanks
Theresa
Hoping someone can help with the dating of these two coats. The Pendleton is more of a cape. Also, not sure how to describe the Hermes. Don't think I can call it a trench coat, as it's not double breasted. A raincoat or duster? It's a canvas type fabric.
Thanks...
Whoa, had to put my sunglasses on to look at that shirt!
Very flashy. I picture it tucked into a pair of tight black cigarette pants with a wide patent leather belt on someone with big hair wearing stilettos. Sort of a Peg Bundy from "Married with Children" look.

That house is soooo adorable! Is that a sunporch in the 3rd photo? Love the walls and wood floors.
Looks cozy and cheerful. It has so much more character than most of the stuff they build now.

Chris,
Here's a picture. This dress doesn't have the usual bright colors, but the pattern is really nice.
The guy who sold this to me told me his mom used to work for Pucci in the 60s, but he sure didn't know anything about the zipper. He did tell me he thought there were more in...
Anyone out there knowledgable about Pucci dresses? Was very fortunate to come across one from the 60s in great condition. Noticed there is a thin metal zipper that has been hand sewn into the back. Was wondering if that is usual or if it was perhaps a replacement.
Thanks
Theresa

One of the nicest sarongs I've seen. That color and print are soooo fabulous. The white orchids against the red is very striking.

Hi, hoping someone can tell me what to call this type of treatment on this dress. The skirt is made up of four sections that are separated by some kind of open weave stitch. Same thing is on the bodice as well. Is there a name for this or a better way for me to describe?
Thanks
Theresa...
Michele, that jacket sounds so special. I don't think I'd be able to part with it either.
Know exactly what you mean. There have been many times when instead of being happy I've made a sale, I feel bad because I didn't want to part with something (especially if I knew if fit me!)
There is...
