1850's-60's kingfisher blue kid leather slippers with floral embroidery

My latest find; I'm loving the vibrancy of the colour of these shoes.

I'm slightly suspicious the embroidery has been tampered with at some point - it's so different on one I thought maybe someone had replaced the red bow, though no stitches go through so either they were an expert or it's original and one was on display previously? doesn't make sense though as the thread is not only faded but worn down on the other shoe.

I wonder if the embroidery was done by two different women? The show on the left looks like the black outlines were stitched with a finer thread in addition to the pink ribon with white center instead of red. The narrower thread might have worn down more notcieably.
 
That's a good point Mags if these slippers were made individually rather than in pairs that is a distinct possibility.
