18th century dress

I agree, I actually think museums should sell off what they don't use and doesn't fit into their collection policy. They should be collecting not acquiring and there is a BIG difference between those two goals. Actually a lot of English museums have sold off their collections lately but its done so quietly you don't hear about it.

 

..."I'm not worthy" to hold such a piece of history...like I'll loose my head and go fondling it with Cheeto fingers, or throw it in the Maytag for a freshening up. "

YES I understand Hatfeathers, -- let us call it the "Cheeto Fingers Syndrome" (CFS). And I don't WANT the dress, it belongs in a more appropriate place.
