1940s Floral Pattern Lace Wedding Dress

Yes, it's rare to get the photo...I have another dress I have to work on an off-white velvet which has quite a train.

The lady who sold us that one was a dealer and she showed us the wedding photo but we were not allowed to purchase it. My DH went back to take a photo of it and she put an oval white piece of paper over the bride's face to keep it anonymous. It looks pretty funny!

I keep looking at that one and saying now is the time with winter on the way but I know the steaming of that one is going to take me probably 2 or more hours, I better do that one in front of the TV.

I can imagine! But it's good to know she is respecting the wishes of (I assume) the family of the bride, who wishes to keep her anonymous though they are selling her dress... (Maybe they feel that if her image as a bride were publicly available it would be making her into a commodity? I feel so differently--to have the new owner of the gown know of its history with her would keep her memory alive in connection with another joyous occasion...)

If you do break down and get the velvet one--please post pics of that, too! Sounds incredible...
