20s or 30s dress

I found this beautiful cream color silk dress from a closet filled with Victorian to 1930s dresses.
I am unsure if it is from 1920s or 30s.
Side opening with snap buttons and eyes & hooks
It has an armpit pouch in each sleeve.

I think it might be a wedding dress?

The half-belt and diamond panel in front are both charicteristic of the 1930s. I'd suggest this has been shortened though possibly altered in the 1940s.
It doesn't strike me as a wedding dress - the button front and peaked collar is quite a daytime look, perhaps afternoon tea.
The underarm guards appear to contain a broken-down fibre - I would open a section of the seam and empty this out as it will get everywhere.

This one looks like a vintage Tops for women from the thirties, as can be inferred from its cut and design. The button down collar style reminds me so much of that period. The color is so delicate and fabric is amazing, and these give this outfit a charming appeal. At the same time, I think that this one is too simple to be worn to a wedding; I would rather wear it for a casual outing with friends. And I am not so comfortable with the concept of underarm pouches, so would prefer to do away with them!
