30's, 40's, or early 50's Mindelle gown??

This struck me as 30's at first but after a little more research I'm now at 40's possibly very early 50's. Would anyone know when these types of gowns with the swag across the front were most popular? Fortunately, this has a couple of tags so maybe that will help pin it down if anyone is familiar with Mindelle.

Also- I'm pretty sure it's taffeta but would welcome any knowledgeable thoughts on this. I was kind of hoping it wasn't taffeta because I dread trying to wash it, lol.

I'm seeing late 30s but think it 50s made.

Green is not my favorite colour but what a lovely costume.

The white tag says "Bullocks Pasadena"

Yes, I saw 'Bullocks Pasadena' too. Font and style most closely resembles one of the '40s labels. Agree with late '40s, about '47.

Thanks everyone! Any thoughts on the fabric? And if it is taffeta, the best way to wash/dry? I really don't want to dry clean but it definitely needs a little cleaning somehow.

On my screen it looks like it has a ribbed texture, like a faille, maybe a silk faille. Either way (taffeta or faille), it's a dry clean only material - sorry.
