60s or earlier on this Racoon Mens Coat?

I'm not sure where this falls? 60s or 70s or am I earlier with this?
Any thoughts?

Mary Jane has a mouton jacket for sale with the same label dated for the 50's. However, that label is sewn in on all sides, not tacked on two sides like yours, which to me indicates a more recent coat. Anyone else?

Could it be a recycled, possibly relined, older (c.1920s) raccoon coat? They were newly popular again in the late 1950s, as described in this Smithsonian article. Just a thought!

What is the lining fabric? I would have to feel it or smell it to be more sure, but it could be much earlier, maybe 1930's. Men in the West such as a rural mail carrier wore these while driving.
