Waayy later I believe.

That wide square toe makes me think of early 90s but Jonathan would know for sure.
Here's the Jo Ghost website: http://www.joghostboots.com It looks like the company makes very good quality and interesting boots.

ETA: There is some history on this page

Okay, so that tag is in Korean. If you tell me where you got them it might solve the mystery as to why that is. Also the sole read Jo Ghost but the interior tag and hang tag read "Buffalo". Could it be that they used a Jo Ghost sole on a Buffalo boot?

Its also worth noting that "Kumkang" is a chain of stores in Korea that sells primarily shoes, including Buffalo brand shoes. Based on the price on the tag, which is about $90 USD, and what the prices for Buffalo shoes are currently my guess would be 90s as well. I do however think they have been resoled with the Jo Ghost sole though.

Yup 90s - when that chunky heel, platform, wide toe look came back in the 90s they looked almost identical to their 70s ancestors and I knew they would cause confusion in the future! That really square toe is around in the 70s, but more typical of the 90s, and if nothing else, the bar code on the sales tag would make it later - they were only being test marketed in the 70s on grocery items - they took off in the 80s and weren't universal until the 1990s.
