    Hi everyone.

Does anyone know anything about Bromleigh New York?
    Did they only do coats?

I looked in the Label resource & couldn't find the name anywhere.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Peace & Love

A 1964 ad for coats states that the coats were "...imported from the fashion capitals of Europe ... but are fashioned to American tastes by Bromleigh, one of our best casual coat makers."

I will continue to look through ads.

A 1962 ad notes that they have a "special purchase of famous Bromleigh coats"

A 1965 ad for coats states: "Choose quality and famouse makers from these ..." and one of the makers is Bromleigh.''

A 1968 ad states that the store sells "Famous Make Coats" including Bromleigh. One of the Bromleigh coats featured in the ad is a "Famous fit Bromleigh fashioned coat of checked novelty weave of 72% wool, 20% acrylic, 8% nylon, with popular belted back, notched collar, flap pockets, full lined. Result of a century of tailoring excellence."

A 1973 newspaper advertises a "Bromleigh for Fall" coat for $90.

A 1976 newspaper has ads for a "Special group of Bromleigh pant coats" and a "Special group of Bromleigh street length coats."

A 1977 newspaper advertises Bromleigh pant coats and Bromleigh long coats.

Ancestry.com had only 13 hits for "Bromleigh NY" and all were for coats.

In another database a 1909 newspaper advertised a Bromleigh blouse (which might be why the later ad mentioned Bromleigh's 100 years of 'tailoring excellence.'

1922 and 1923 Canadian newspapers advertised "Northway's Famous Bromleigh coats."

A 1943 newspaper advertises "the glamour of lynx-dyed fox collars on a clear beige" coat "styled by Bromleigh in the favorite box style of the season."

A 1946 newspaper ad for Calvert Manufacturing Co. Says they are "Manufacturers of the nationally-known "Bromleigh" coats for women" and that they are "manufacturers of quality coats since 1916."

A 1949 newspaper advertises coats "Fashioned by "Bromleigh" of New York, makers of perfectly proportioned coats..."

A 1955 ad for a coat notes that it was "Tailored by Bromleigh ... famous for tailoring, fit, and line for over a quarter century."

A 1960 ad states that "The Bromleigh label means that accent is placed upon BEHIND THE SEAMS construction. It also means a concentrated emphasis is put on FIT and truly fine WORKMANSHIP."

A 1964 article states that "Bromleigh uses imported fabrics and American knowhow to give us the most beautiful collection of coats ever."
