This has been one of my favorite vintage outfits for everyday wear:
It's a 3-piece acrylic knit suit by Stage 7. It's in my favorite shade of green, sooooo comfortable, but still dressy enough for work or going out. I also love the 3/4 length sleeves.
Unfortunately, the sweater/jacket has a lot of damage. I think it may have been pressed with a very hot iron, and the scorched threads are breaking and unraveling. I sent it to Knitwear Doctors for repair, but then new holes appeared.
The rest of the suit is in good condition, but I finally had to put it away.
Then last week, I saw this sweater in vintagemerchant's signature slideshow here on VFG.
It's a different brand ( Miss Pernilla), but the colors and styling looked like a good match to my suit. I went ahead and purchased it even though I knew that colors can sometimes look different on computer monitors.
Well, it arrived today, and it is a perfect match. Not only that, but vintagemerchant gave me a 10% refund when she recognized my name from here!
I can't wait for the weather to cool down a bit so I can start wearing it!
