Adrian was more than a designer!

A friend of mine who collects Adrian suits and dresses sent me a copy of this pic. Adrian apparently did these in the 1940s -- I had no idea he was a painter as well. My friend actually found this painting on ebay a few years ago! Adrian's signature wasn't deciphered quite correctly by the seller, but she recognized it and bought it for a reasonable price.

Anyway, not clothing, but interesting none-the-less.

The painting is called "The Rain Pool"

Gawd, what a great find--and I love the painting! It has a touch of a Dali feeling to it, too, doesn't it?

Wow! That's really something. Love the colors and shading on this. I learn something new every day here it seems.

That is just so cool. I love that painting. The small dimensions against the big sky. The skinny trees or plants towering above the village! That really is cool!

How interesting! I actually agree it's got a Dali feeling for me, too. That is a great piece of vintage trivia to file in my mind. ;)

All I can think is what a really cool thing to bring to the Antiques Roadshow. hehehe

Funny Steph - the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw that painting was "surreal" !

Neat painting.
