Age and origin of bell sleeve robe

I have this amazing robe and would love to know more about it if anyone can help. It definitely has some age to it. I think it has been a theatre costume at some point but I don't know if that was its original purpose. Sadly it has suffered some damage over the years, loss of buttons and light staining but I still love it.
Thanks in advance!

Can you tell us what the main purplish fabric is made of of? I've known both acetate and rayon to change colour like that and knowing what it is could help pin down the date. Close ups of all the fabrics and sewing techniques used would be useful.

It has a Sgt. Pepper quality to it! - I bet it had matching palazzo pants to go with it and its an 'at home' evening pyjama pantsuit from the early 70s. Something worn with full hair and make-up for a New Year's Eve party...

I also see 1970s. I see a 1970s version of 1920s and early 1930s Art Deco graphics. It reminds me a lot of of the 1970s wall papers and home decor fabrics made to cash in on the Deco craze of the early and mid 70s.
