Age help, please?

Hi all - thanks for having me here.

I have been gifted these vintage cosmetics and wondered if anyone could tell me what era they are from.

I'm guessing you are in the UK, or the person who gifted these to you is? Elfrida Face Powder seems to be an English product, and if Purple Dawn Lavender Face Powder isn't English too I'd be surprised!

The Elfrida shows up in a newspaper ad in 1943, but I believe it was made earlier and later. I've seen Avon Poppy lipstick from the late 1960s, but it was in a different tube from the one you show.

I'm not a vintage makeup expert by any stretch, but it fascinates me!

Yes I'm in England. It fascinates me too - I'd love to know just how old these products actually are!

I noticed Mitcham on your Purple Dawn lavender face powder, which led me to this - according to this website Purple Dawn Lavender was a perfume, and was launched circa 1940
