I need help dating an Albert Nipon label, for which year it was produced.
Since we don't have this label in our Label Resource it would be difficult to assign a date without some images of the garment.
Please post full length front and back views so we can see style and silhouette. Detail images are helpful, too, like how seams and hem are finished.
Also, with your permission, we'd like to add this to our Label Resource once we assign a date. We will credit you, of course.
Thank-you for the reply. Here are some detailed photo of the garment.
You can add this to the Label Resource!
Thanks for posting photos. Are there any other labels? A care label?
There is no other labels on the piece, it is very delicate.
I have just found a listing with the exact label that says it could be from the 1970's?
It looks like a 1970s style. Very cute!
It looks 1970s to me. If you go to wikipedia you can find out a lot about the company
The label looks fairly modern, but notice the sew-on snap in the corner by the label. Maybe somebody added that on? My mother used them a lot in the 50s.
Many thanks for the question and answer, and a big thanks to Marsha for adding it to the Label Resource. I tend to think "Oh, surely it's already in the label resource", and then don't pass on the info to the LR people!
Hi! There is actually a couple snaps sewed on in the original matching pink stitching!
I see 70s all over this dress.
