Another blog post - Making a Carpet Bag

I'm finally getting around to posting my various projects. This one was particularly satisfying and I provide a complete tutorial (I hope it's easy to follow, let me know if anything is unclear!).

So cool! I wish I could sew.

I promise you, I can't really sew. You can do this! I have minimal and marginal skills. I'm afraid of my sewing machine.

It's similar to my relationship with sports (except that I don't care about sports). Yeah, I get what I'm supposed to do, more or less, but I'm certainly not highly skilled or practiced at it and I'm afraid of the ball.

If you know someone nearby who sews, even a little, s/he could help you do this. There's no step involving anything but a straight line of stitches. Honest.

I LOVE this idea and it looks beautiful what you have made!

I am going to get my sister (who sews but is lazy) make me one of these with some pieces of antique tapestry or rugs I have laying around. I have been saving these for decades wanting to make a carpet bag or similar. Now she has no excuse!

Thank you so much.

Always wishing you well....
