Another sequined number...confused!

  1. This is is a crepe with side metal zipper and a small metal zipper at the back of the neckline. I think Headless Marie is too tall for this...the proportions look wonky. I'm thinking it might be a half size (petite in length, but large everywhere else?).

    I've been leaning towards 40's, but don't feel confident. TIA!!

    Has it been shortened? I am thinking maybe, just maybe, early to mid 1950s that has been hemmed up.
    Although in your photo with Marie's legs whited out the proportions do look more consistent.

  5. Good point Hollis! At first I didn't think it was shortened, but when I look at the hem on the lining, it appears like it was. There is a good 2" allowance on the hem.

    I'm thinking early 50s, too - the length is a bit unusual, I agree. Just had to say EXCELLENT pics for a black dress! Wanna come over and shoot mine for me?
