Hi all,
I have an antique white embroidered net lace gown and i'm hoping for some help dating if Edwardian or earlier and also any additional information about the lace. The previous owner said it was their great grandmothers and they wanted to wear it as a wedding dress so unfortunately they had added velcro (gasp!) to the back closure. I had my seamstress take out the velcro and add white eye/hooks to blend in and i'm sure originally it had the eye/hook closures down the back.
Any help dating and if there's anything specific you could tell me about the net lace would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance ~ Brooke
