Antique Indian embroidered jacket? need help

    Hi! Thanks for any help. I cannot figure out anything about this jacket, Indian embroidery? 1900? It is all hand stitched. Thanks!!

    Oh, Tove! This jacket is magnificent!
    What is the fabric? Can we see a full length shot and close-ups of the fabric, lining and embroidery? All would help with dating.

    Stunning! It looks like a cotton velvet to me. Makes me think of the hippie era in the 1960s, could well be older than that. Just something wonderful that would have been worn at that time.

    That outer stitching is very interesting as well is that a cord?
