Antique styled dress...HELP!

Ok it is not vintage, but vintage styled, it is a Cachet by Bart Protas.

BUT..if it were true vintage how would I describe it. When I first saw it I about fainted because I thought it was an antique weddding dress. It is two pieces the sheer dress and then the slip under it.

Any help?

Do you think I can list it in the vintage category saying "vintage styled" or would it be misleading putting in in that category.

Do you think it is trying to look 20's or what???
 
I have seen some original antique wedding dresses that were in such good condition you'd have thought they were worn yesterday... but only because a vintage clothing shop I used to visit specialised in them. I don't know anything about them myself to offer any help.

Either way though, it's breathtakingly beautiful, and there's bound to be someone here who knows the era enough to help you describe it.

I would say Gatsby Style, Flapper Style only that implies fringe to many. Gatsby would be a good one as the Redford/FArrow one back in the 70s was one big pastel hue.
 
I think it is 80s therefore could be put in vintage or retro. You could say 20s style.
 
It's 80s, which did copy the 20s drop waist. But the telltale sign that it's 80s is the shoulder emphasis and pads. 20s always has narrow, small shoulders and very slim upper sleeves with all the design emphasis on the low waist and skirt.

So I would put it in 80s, with 20s style in the title.
