Antique (?) Western Tapestry Doctor Bag/Handbag?

Hello everyone! I found another cool piece and wanted to share. No inner label but the identical ones that I found online were produced for the Smithsonian Institute (see attached listings). The hardware looks antique but the tapestry and inside has me questioning that. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Y’all are the best.
