Anyone know Maggi? And how would this be worn?

Hi all

picked up this funky little suit and wondered whether anyone knew anything about Maggi Shepherd?

also, it seems like the top half is a jacket (it’s lined and made of a relatively stiff linen type material) but I just wondered what someone would wear underneath in the 60s/70s? I’m assuming it’s 69s, but happy to be corrected!

I think 1960s, and the top would have been worn like a blouse - not like a jacket that you would take off. In sewing patterns they call this kind of set a "two-piece dress".
