I live in Hawaii, and like most people in the U.S. I will be celebrating Thanksgiving. Since it is warmer here than on the "Mainland" I am wearing this polished cotton late '40's shirtwaist - with vintage jewelry - of course!!!!

We already celebrated Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving is in Oct) and of course I wore vintage! A cute blue/purple floral 50's dress :P

Happy Thanksgiving to all my US friends! :) Lynn, your dress is lovely!

One of my UK friends is visiting Manhattan tomorrow (for the first time) and will be there for the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. I believe it's this Thursday. I've sent her loads of information on the best places to shop vintage, care of the lovely Laura of Metro Retro Vintage. Thank you Laura. :headbang: My 40's coat is going along to New York with my friend. She loves it SO much and I thought she'd look 'the business' in it. She's promised to take lots of photos of the coat in different locations in Manhattan. Well - I guess my coat may as well enjoy the holiday! :cats:

Love that dress, Linn!

I'll be wearing vintage jewelry, as the event I'm going to is one day early & uber casual.

I'm also planning on a vintage scarf & bag.

Basic Black pallette: Kenneth Cole wool slacks, a black sweater or top of some sort, etc.

and I will be wearing my retro-ish B&W houndstooth coat that I got on sale last year for $5.00. I'll take pics & point out the accessories. ;-)

Hope you all take pics of your vintage outfits!!!

We were in the Bahamas for our Canadian Thanksgiving, the only vintage I wore was my skin... circa 1963!! :nana:

I haven't decided yet. If I don't wear vintage tomorrow, I will be wearing it at a wedding we're going to on Saturday. It's a red 1980's mini cocktail dress. I'd much prefer something 40's or 50's, but the measurements very rarely work for me! I do have a nice 50's red rayon dress I wore last year, but I think I'm going to be more casual...it's been a LONG 2 weeks and I just need to relax!!

Linn that is a delightful dress!

As we're expecting snow showers tomorrow I'm sure a vintage cashmere cardigan will be part of my ensemble (the only GOOD thing about cold weather...)

It's going to be pretty warm here today (86 degrees) so I can't wear the outfit I was originally planning. I'll probably go with this dress:

And this purse:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Great dress and fun purse- Ookoo!

It was so "cold" and rainy here last night that I thought I might have to change my planned outfit but while it's windy right now it is not "freezing" - LOL. It's also only 7:45 in the morning.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Aloha,

Linn

It's a lovely fall day here in the South. I'm wearing the vintage Pendleton 49er I won from their facebook site:

Man oh man! It's 80 degrees here, and I have no black half slip, that I might have needed on one idea for an outfit. I'm intsead, going for a quasi-Indian layered look, inspired by the recent White House dinner, I guess. DBF, is wearing shorts. I will be overdressed, whatever I wear, and I see no way to incorporate my new CoroCraft bow brooch, into the the mix, but there are still scarves to play with. I am wearing the mint Celanese slip, from Catwalk Creative, as part of the layers. Too warm for rosewater Deco 30's jacket though.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Ookoo, I like those two items together. Very playful, and unexpected.
This is what I wound up witth, in a rush:

Lizzie, I am very jealous.

no actual vintage, but I did wear a tank under a cashmere sweater....the tank was an early 40th bday gift my Mom brought (bday tomorrow) that says "VINTAGE 1969"!
