Are You Wearing Vintage on Thanksgiving?

Happy Birthday a day early to Ang! Julie - your outfit turned out great. You'll get to wear the pin another time.

It's only 3:00 in the afternoon here and I am having dinner at 6:00 so haven't put on my dress - yet. It's an off and on rainy day but I'm sticking to my plan and have the jewelry and '40's Corde bag with Bakelite handle all ready to go.

Man oh man! It's 80 degrees here, and I have no black half slip, that I might have needed on one idea for an outfit. I'm intsead, going for a quasi-Indian layered look, inspired by the recent White House dinner, I guess. DBF, is wearing shorts. I will be overdressed, whatever I wear, and I see no way to incorporate my new CoroCraft bow brooch, into the the mix, but there are still scarves to play with. I am wearing the mint Celanese slip, from Catwalk Creative, as part of the layers. Too warm for rosewater Deco 30's jacket though.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Ookoo, I like those two items together. Very playful, and unexpected.
This is what I wound up witth, in a rush:

Lizzie, I am very jealous.

Ooohh! Your outfit is fabulous darling! 80 degrees? That should be illegal!! Mind you, I've never posted anything to an address like yours - even your address sounds ROASTING HOT!!! Go pour yourself a cold G&T immediately. :)

Indeed it was 80 degrees here on Thanksgiving. All 3 of us are in Southern California :)

I wore my fantastic new 30s knit top (from Ang/DorotheasClosetVintage) and a pair of men's 1960's brown trousers (flat front, pegged cuffs - made for a very short man so they look like cigarette pants on me! ha!).

I know my sisters took pics - I'll post one as soon as I get one! :)
