Every time I see AA's name, I'm haunted by "the one {two} that got away".
About 15 years ago, I passed up buying two AA dresses at a local thrift... they were, after all, priced at $24.99 each, and I never spent that much on garments for resale. To my eye, they really didn't look like much and I'd never heard the designer's name... and I didn't have a smart phone back then.

To be honest, I'd heard the name but wouldn't have been able to put any designs to it 
before I saw the Azzedine Alia exhibition (meaning his own designs) in Paris a few years ago. It was more sort of a "oh, we're there anyway and the Palais Galliera is open again, let's go have a look", I admit. And I loved it!
