Basting glue?

I hate pinning, and I'm not the best at sewing. So sometimes I use basting glue.

Any thoughts on using basting glue instead of pins on vintage? It's a temporary hold that washes out. This isn't the permanent stuff.

I wouldn't. You just never know about vintage fabrics, the dyes, etc. I am a scaredy cat.
