Hello, I'm having a little trouble dating this, any help would be welcome and appreciated. It has a Best & Co., Fifth Ave, New York label, which appears to be hand stitched in, some of the finishes on the garment are also hand stitched. Also inside is a Harris Tweed label, which unfortunately is partially shredded. There is a picture of a loom worker on it and I can make out 'Isle of Lewis' at the bottom. I cannot see the orb, but I suppose it's possible it was on the missing part, though I can't even see a trace of it on the loose threads. Inside the breast pocket is another label, stamped with Best & Co. Fifth Avenue, New York with a lot number of 5633. On the Date line there is just the number 10.
The tweed is a herringbone weave in pale blue and heather, and it is very petite, so either for a teenager or very small woman. I've read what I can on both Best & Co. and Harris Tweed, but I wouldn't mind some more opinions. Thank you in advance, Amy
