Black Rose Damask 1950\'s Bombshell H.K Dress HELP!

This is a mouth watering two piece set that I need some help with before listing...

Also what do I call the thingy draping down from the jacket, it's pleated but the pleats need to be ironed correctly which I will leave up to the buyer.

I had to pin this set to Grace as it is a real woman's size, it has a fitted peplum waist on the jacket and the dress is boned on each side of the bust for support.

42-30-42 YOWSA!

No label but the selvage is stamped Standard Made in Hong Kong.

So, approimate date? title? Help!

That is just gorgeous and in a larger size, too!

So that long drapey tail is on the jacket?
 
I'm writing up the listing right now and this is what I came up with...

The Jacket features a wide-open BUST to show off your vavooms with a shapely rounded peplum waist and a LONG double draped pleated sash that hangs down onto the dress. Closes with hidden hooks and eyes. These hooks can be moved either way if you need a smaller or larger waist size.

What do you think?

it sounds great. But i think you made an error. The measurements are really 37-26-37 right???

The thing with garments that were tailored in hong kong..they are harder to pin down because people would go there and tell them what they wanted, and they would make it. My cousin has amazing suits she had made for her when she was there. I would say from the jacket lines it is probably 50s but I will let the experts speak.

Unless it is more of an import/mass production and then there would be less of a question on date.

Tori...Vavooms!!! he he Will have to remember that one.

I also think shelf bust is a good kw..maybe that the jacket is open in front giving the illusion of a shelf bust.

I was thinking peplum, too. Great description!
