Can anyone help me with info re this label?

I really can't help you on this lovely dress; I've never seen the label, myself. It does look 1970s from what I can tell. I'm tempted to say earlier than later 70s. It's hard to tell, though, without a shot that shows an entire full-on view top to bottom, and without seeing it on a body--dress form, mannequin, or live person.

You might have better luck with responses if you would post the image code for bulletin boards instead of a link for people to click on. It's much easier for people to view the photos and respond if they don't have to go out to an external site in another window, then switch back here to respond.

I don't use Flickr much myself, so I don't know how/where the different codes are listed for each photo. But somewhere there should be a code that starts with
 
I believe it's actually quite difficult, if not impossible, to get image code from flickr, flickr isn't designed for that. They want you to come to the flickr site, and certainly don't make it obvious how to get image code. It's much easier from photobucket.
 
Apologies my IT skills are limited but yes I am struggling to find IMG code. I will just go with my instinct on this dress. Thanks for your help and I will post not more!
 
There you go! Ok, as I said, I really can't offer much help, but with the photos here in position, I'm sure somebody who knows more than I will come along and offer assistance. I had a very similar silk gown a while back, beaded & sequined bodice, silk bottom like yours--including the split front. But mine was a halter-top style. I was able to find information about the label and was able to date it pretty conclusively to the early/mid 70s. Though I would date yours similarly, I'm not 100% certain. The bodice style is a bit more "timeless" and classic on yours.
 
Thanks Anne :) I will wait and see - I am just interested in finding out about the label I guess, as I like to have an idea when and where dresses came from/were made/sold etc
 
Well, then, I would date your dress to very much the same time period as mine.... Lynne is amazing, is she not?

As to pricing, who knows? I had mine listed at $125, but sold it for around $100, I think. Like yours, it was from a very high quality, but little-known boutique-type house (which I assume Deborah Newall was). My photos were not very good, and I was about to re-shoot it, which I think would have gone a ways toward making it look far more appealing, when it sold. Then again, it was a very, very small size (something like a 24" waist), so that could have had something to do with it.
 
Ah you guys are amazing :) I am intrigued to find out more about her and her company so I am going to do some more investigation. I have contacted the present occupiers to see if they have done any research on the history of the building/past owners.

I should just sell the dress but I am interested to see if I can put a story to it.
