This little bolero jacket has gold leather fan appliques. Any thoughts about the age.

Probably 1950s. What does the lining look like if it's lined?

It looks 40s to me, does it have small shoulder pads?

I should never post a photo without the garment in hand. It isn't where I thought it was "filed" so I'll have to look for it.

Yes, it is lined, but I don't think it has shoulder pads.

I am in awe of how you keep up with your inventory. I have some order, but it obviously isn't good enough. C

The bolero jacket popped up today in the blouse closet.
    No shoulder pads.
    Rayon twill lining.
    Thanks for your help.

I also see 1940's. Is there evidence that shoulder pads were removed/ Or maybe it was to be worn over a dress that had shoulder pads.

I have seen gold leather or oilcloth appliques on velvet dresses before from that late 30s/early 40s period.

No, it doesn't appear to have had shoulder pads.
    Jonathan, thanks, C
