Can you please help me date this open front jacket?

The lady I bought it from said she bought it from a vintage flea market in France in the 1980s and that it is “very old”. It’s in great condition with just a little discoloration on the cording trim. No lining. I can’t figure out how to date it, so thought I’d ask people far more knowledgeable about these things!

This can be difficult to date without handling it and seeing it up close. Is it wool? Is it a thin fine wool? The soutache embroidery is beautiful and I get a sense of 1930s to 1940s on this one. But again, hard to tell.

Thank you so much for your quick response! It’s not wool, it feels more like cotton or linen, I think. I forgot to include photos of the inside and a close-up of the fabric, so will do that right now.
