Chambray Dress Glass Buttons

Found this one recently and would love insight. I was thinking Edwardian to 30’s possibly. Any info is appreciated!

I think this may be a nurses dress. I have attached photos of three from my collection. The first (with dark buttons) is from the 1950s. The second in blue chambray (two images) is a Royal Naval (QARNNS) nurses dress - these were in regular use until the 1980s. The last is from the 1930s and is named & dated inside. Although the fabric varies the style is very similar to yours - the waist opening/closure is typical of nurses uniform and was used from WWl onwards.
 
Yes, I think you are right - china rather than glass. If they are china the backs should have a rougher "orange peel" like texture.
It looks like some of the dress buttons have been replaced at some point as some have two holes and some have four. Hardly surprising as I'm sure it would have been subjected to a lot in its working life!
