The 1990s saw a wide array of fashion trends starting with bright colors and bold patterns carried over from the 1980s which evolved with the popularity of the hip hop culture into baggy pants and over-sized shirts in a rainbow of neon hues. In sharp contrast the emergence of alternative rock music brought with it what is arguably the fashion trend most synonymous with the 1990s, grunge, consisting of drab colors, ripped jeans, over-sized sweaters and flannel shirts, combat boots and band t-shirts. In the mid-late 1990s, in yet another twist of the fashion of this era, form fitting dresses, blazers for men and women and tailored skirts were the wardrobe must haves. Finishing out this whirlwind fashion decade preppy style made an appearance, school girl ensembles for the ladies and sweaters and khakis for the gents.

This week's parade is certain to be eclectic as our members share their examples of 1990s clothing, shoes and accessories for sale.
