Corona Light handbag

I'm helping my Mum whittle down her vintage collection. One of the items I'm struggling with is this 'Corona Light' handbag. It's in a dark navy highly polished leather, and I think it's unnused - the brass trim has discoloured a bit and the leather has popped up fromaround the button but I think that's just age...
It has a built in light with all the bits I.e. the original bulb, Ever Ready battery, sales leaflets etc!! Works via the press switch on the top of the bag.

Fabulous museum quality item I'm tempted to keep but I'm more 40's myself... anyone seen anything similar?

Hazel, if you read the forum rules we cannot help with any valuations here sorry. An item is only worth what someone will pay for it. Your best guide is Ebay solds. (not listed, or unsold, just sold prices :) )

That is one of the coolest vintage fashion items I have ever seen.

Hope someone can find more info for you about it. Now I want one.

Looks like a patent applied for no.

Can you put it here? Too hard to see.

Thanks. Sandy

Thankyou! The patent no. Is 28470/54. I did do some research and the patent dates to something like 1952 or 1954, can't remember exactly. I have never seen anything like it before...
