Countdown to coats...

I have these on the vc-mall, but I am debating about when to list them on eBay, as they don't seem to be finding much interest on the vc-mall just yet... I am off to NY on friday and will be back on the 15th, do you think late August is safe???

i am so out of reality with winter coats as i only need to wear them for about 3 weeks or so out of the year where i live....but my uneducated guess is people will start thinking about them right after the back to school buying frenzy. i would say august 15th is headed in the right direction and after september 8th or so you are probably totally safe. but someone else who is more knowledgeable will probably come along.

I'm meltiiiiiing.... Please stop showing the cruelly-beautiful, Valentino coat. :)

It has been looking to me like the exceptional in coats is doing as well as would also be expected a bit later on the calendar. If these aren't exceptional, what is?

I was thinking late August on coats myself. I did think it might be good to have them lised over the Labor Day Holiday on the 6th.

cooled down here slightly today, so I decided to visit this
thread. (so humid yesterday when I went out in my non a/c
car, my sunglasses steamed up).

I'm going to wait until around the middle of August and start bringing out my Fall stuff - coats I'm waiting until towards the end. I think the end of August, beginning of September is good for coats.

Jonathan, that black one is a killer!

No, its still there, but you might be looking at my Kickshaw site, not the vc-mall site. My Kickshaw site is in a state of flux. The ISP changed my password twice in the past month and I can't seem to make any changes to it at the moment. Plus, I am about to revamp it so that its an online tour of my permanent collection. I am going to be selling solely through the VC mall this fall instead. Oh, and it is black, but I lightened the photo to see the details... black is such a b*tch to photograph!

It was a regular schvitz (steam!) bath* here today and yet I still think if someone (ahem - aHEM!) were to hold the black coat open for me to slip my arms in to I think I would...:)

Valentino is it? Beene? Whomever, that is one fabulous coat.

*I think 'schvitz' literally means 'sweat' but I didn't want to put too fine a point on it/gross anyone out:P

Man, Jonathan, those are GREAT!

I have two huge bins full of coats and jackets, but figure I'll get them up in a couple of weeks. I love jackets and coats. Don't know why, exactly, and I usually pay more for them while buying, but I adore searching for them.

While checking out closed auctions, I came across this wonderful find: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48882&item=8118815518&rd=1

Now how unusual and bizarre is that??

I'm finding there is a lot of interest NOW in the fall attire department! My pendleton walking suit/coat sold if the first 1/2 day!! Lots of hits on the other woolies too. Wouldn't wait too long to list.....

on that hippied jacket/shirt - that is one HAPPY seller!!!!! Holey Cow!

Same story here. I've been suspecting that it's the case that relatively few coats are being offered, right now. My coats and leather gloves have been all but my only items of interest.
