Date help please on black velvet dress

At first I thought it was 80's. Then upon closer inspection I noticed pinked seams, metal zipper in back and on sleeve openings, tape on hem.

There are a couple of panels in the back of skirt that make it flair out at the hem, where you would usually see a kick pleat. I've shown a picture of the inside.

Can anyone help me date this?

My, it looks 50s to me. Maybe late 50s, early 60s. Very pretty.
