Dating a bead necklace

I thought maybe this was from the 50s but after having watched a few Downton Abbey episodes, now I’m questioning. =)~

Seriously, I’m just curious about this necklace. It’s made of glass faceted beads with a little decorative closure that involves pinching one side to separate it. Maybe it’s meant to be wrapped around several times, thus warranting a closure at all. It’s a rather heavy necklace, and cold. I’m pretty positive it’s glass because one of the beads is broken at a slant.

I did too! I thought it was from the 50s/60s based on the clasp as it’s the same sort of clasp I’ve seen on so many pieces of costume jewelry from that time period. It wasn’t til I saw similar necklaces on Downton Abbey that I wondered. lol
 
I am not sure. The push-in clasp dates to the 18C. Is the metal brass or gold colored plated metal ? Is it possible to get a really "clear" picture of the clasp; the part that pushes into the box part - and the box opening? I can't tell if the work on the clasp part is '50s or earlier. I am not an expert on older jewelry and wish Francis would come along! But, I'm trying to research this and will be back!
 
I’m not sure about the metal. I think if it were plated, it would have shown some wearing off by now, but it doesn’t seem to be.

Thank you for the additional photos. I don't think it's as old as I did originally so I will go along with '50s.

I used to do all my jewelry photos on a flat bed scanner and then edit them if necessary in Photoshop Elements. That scanner is still in my garage but is so old that I don't think it is compatible with my iMac! And, I don't have a newer version of Photoshop Elements, either! I have been able to get pretty good jewelry photos with my phone but the lighting and background have to be white and there has to be a lot of natural light. (Not a big issue here.)

I used to have a flat bed scanner too. I had so much fun putting leaves and seed pods and all sorts of nature related goodies in that scanner. It made the most beautiful collages.

Hi,

3rd photo down of your new batch of photos, there appears to be a 2 digit number on the clasp, are you able to read it?
