    Hi,
I've been trying to figure out a date range for this small straw cap, and if it would be classified as a Juliet cap. Any help anyone could give would be much appreciated! It is 9" wide front to back and 8 5/8" wide from side to side.

    Thanks,
    Susan

That is a very lovely hat, simple yet sophisticated. And well made too. Yes, you could certainly call that a Juliet cap. My guess is it dates from the very late 1940s to mid 1950s. Hard to be sure just from the photo, and it is such a classic style it could be later. Is it a natural straw or is it a synthetic straw? Does it have a hidden wire in the brim edges?

Thanks! No wire and it feels like natural straw.

I need to figure out how to price it as well, since I can't find anything similar at all!

I have a similar one that was worn for a wedding in the early to mid 50's.
