Dating a sundress

Hello. I am so curious about this dress. At first I thought it was from the 70s, and maybe it is, but it also puts me in mind of some older ones I’ve seen in old catalog photos online. There are no tags or labels. All the seams are French. It’s too big for my dress form so it hangs a little loose. The ribbon trim is satin on one side and a felt-like material on the other. Jenny Linsky is very interested in every new dress I put on my dress forms. lol Thanks for your help.

What is the fabric? And is the waist elasticized?

The waist is elasticized, yes. The fabric is some kind of cotton, I think.

I *think* it's a late50s-early60s fiesta skirt set. They were often worn for square dancing too.

I agree with Cin and lean more on the 60's side because of the color and trim.
