I got this neat Hawaiian shirt at an estate sale today. I was wondering if it was vintage or contemporary? It looks to have never had buttons on it either. I found a Hawaiian shirt from the 50s there to so I though it had a chance.

  3. I think it could be modern: the print has '70s influence but the collar size and shape are wrong for that decade: they look post '90. As does the top-stitched hem.

Also, the lack of buttons suggest it was made as a summer jacket to be worn open or over a t-shirt. A vintage one would have buttons.
