Dating an Alfred Shaheen Long Floral Skirt

Hi,

Any ideas on the date of this pink floral linen Alfred Shaheen skirt? It has the name Shaheen on the front and along the inside seam (last photo). It says "Alfred Shaheen - Hand Printed In Hawaii."

Hi,

There are no labels. It just has the gold print in three places along the inside seam. It ties at the left side and fastens with a mother of pearl button.

Have a look at this pattern:

Could the skirt have been homemade using Shaheen fabric? I have run across such items and came to that conclusion.

This Etsy seller has the pattern listed as 1969 (the same seller has some of the Shaheen yardage too...very cool!)

Your skirt does look like it was made from a 70s Shaheen fabric panel. This is a panel I had, though not with the gold. Taped on the back of my panel was the washing instructions

The pattern was sealed, with no date on the envelope, but like the one above, could be used for a variety of sizes.
