I am wondering if anyone can help with this... dating this piece? I *think* it's a revival piece from the mid80s? But someone told me it was earlier. I am not sure because of the faces, but the construction could be earlier. Any help is appreciated!

So we have one vote for 70s! I'll tell you it SMELLS like one of those... that metal had a particular smell... so where is the famous Laura?

duh!! Of course she is Sorry, Laura... thought there was another person comin' 'round. lol

Well, thank you all, all you famous people!! lol So funny! So 70s. Someone put some doubt into my head when they said 1980s. I remember those being more resin and molded pieces and none having that smell. Yes, I smell a lot of jewelry when I scour the landscape. Can't explain it but I can.

Genetic? You pulling my tail, Laura? If so, that's cool. If not, boy, I wish I'd gotten some of my mom's ability to find some of the stuff she used to find. I watched her walk in and and of the nastiest Salvation Armies with limoge or tiffany, in minutes. She sure had a gift for finding the finer things in the lower of places. lol

It is -- like the ability to roll one's tongue, lol.

What a great story about your Mom and her sharp eagle eyes -- and Tiffany too? Wow, that is fab!
