Hey guys,

I found this from a lady who had a lot of vintage clothing from her mother (1940s - 1950s) and herself (1960s - 1970s) too.

I am not what to call it. And I think it might from the 1950s?

Call it a chemisette and a dickie. Both are used and are good search terms. Not only were they popular in the 30s and 40s, they were also worn under jackets and certain V-front dresses in the Edwardian era, teens, and 20s. AND... there are even some from the mid-19th century, too. They've been around for ages. This one looks to be from the early-to-mid 1900s.

I did see a early 1950s sewing pattern for a square neck dress the other day that also included the pattern for a dickey to go under it, to take it from night to day I think.
