Could use help dating this embroidered lawn dress. I am not very well versed in dating earlier 1900s pieces
(or telling if it is a repro)

    • Fabric is very thin and light and semi sheer, hems appear to be hand stitched.
    • Hidden metal hook and eye closures down the front to around the waistline, with fabric/thread ball decorative buttons.
    • No tags or labels

  2. Pretty. I think it is Edwardian. I look forward to what others think.

Gosh that is pretty! I think it is a little later than the Edwardian era, dating to the 'Teens WWI time period.

The ankle length full skirt and mid forearm length sleeves with open neck and turn-down collar is typical of WW1 c. 1916 - 1918

Very pretty! I agree with Jonathan's dating. The hooks and eyes might have been replaced or else it has been carefully stored - because they look to be in great shape.
