Dating Pabst Blue Ribbon elephant vest

Today, while thrift shopping, I found this cute velvet vest and I'm not sure how to date it. Hope you guys can help.
It looks to me like something from late '60s/early '70s but I think it can also be a little more modern.

I believe this is actually 1990s when there was a lot of elephant clothing and hats coming out... mid-late.
